The Mitchell Tigers lost against the Pine Bluffs Hornets back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Mitchell was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 36-35 to Pine Bluffs.
Addy Bowlin and Kaitlyn Keener certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Bowlin scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals, while Keener scored 6 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. The matchup was Bowlin's fourth in a row with at least ten points.
Mitchell's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Pine Bluffs, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mitchell is on the road again on Thursday and play against Hemingford at 6:00 p.m. on December 14th. As for Pine Bluffs, they will take on Bridgeport on Tuesday. Bridgeport is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
