Volleyball Recap: Hesston Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hesston can now relate to. They fell 2-0 to the Trinity Academy Knights on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Knights this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-0 loss on October 11th.

While Hesston was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-17.

When it comes to explaining why Hesston lost, don't look at Callie Yoder. Despite the final result, she had 13 digs. Yoder has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Ava Deutsch was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 13 digs and four assists. That's the most assists she has posted over her last seven matchups.

Hesston's loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 26-14. As for Trinity Academy, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 30-5.

Hesston has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Ellsworth on the 30th. As for Trinity Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Silver Lake on the 30th.
