Mountain Top Christian's game on January 11th was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 56-49 win over Rock County Christian. Mountain Top Christian's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Rock County Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tony Thompson, who scored nine points along with 11 rebounds and two steals. Thompson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Macen Osland, who scored nine points along with five assists and two steals.
Mountain Top Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for Rock County Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-4.
Mountain Top Christian will head out on the road to square off against Oakhill Christian at 7:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Rock County Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wisconsin School for the Deaf at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wisconsin School for the Deaf comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
