The John Adams Rebels suffered their biggest defeat since December 5, 2023 on Tuesday. Their rough 66-46 defeat to East Tech might stick with them for a while. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for John Adams in their matchups with East Tech: they've now lost four in a row.
Leading East Tech to victory were Amani Mitchell and Demetrius Lawrence. Mitchell scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Lawrence dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Mitchell is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Chris Simon, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
John Adams has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for East Tech, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. John Adams will face off against Campus International at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Campus International is on a four-game streak of home losses, John Adams a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. As for East Tech, they will head out on the road to challenge Glenville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Glenville is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
