AA Region 4 recap November 13, 2013
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Taylor County, who took down 206th ranked Macon County, 7-0.
The Vikings scaled the state rankings by moving to 238 from 264 this week, the biggest jump in AA Region 4. Taylor County was able to move up by defeating the Bulldogs 7-0.
Lamar County's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. LJ Smith threw for 31 and 1 touchdown and Micah Banks had 31 yards receiving. On the ground Andruw O'Neal chipped in 60 yards.
The Trojans' dynamic duo of Smith and Banks proved tough for Crawford County to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
O'Neal was a passing and rushing force as Lamar County topped the Eagles.
Northeast's Davion Anderson and Ta'Korian Denson led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Anderson has thrown for 830 yards this season, while Denson has 24 catches for 444 yards. Franklin Stephens' team's Lawrence Austin leads the league in rushing yards with 762.
The Trojans added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Crawford County, 53-0. The victory was the 10th in a row for the team.
