 Allegany is headed into the  contest having just  suffered their closest  loss since September 15, 2023 on Friday. They fell just short of Mountain Ridge by a score of  24-21. The Campers gained 172 more yards on the day, but it was the Miners that made the best use of them.
 Despite the  defeat, Allegany got top-tier performance from   Aidyn Mckenzie, who rushed for 226 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. Allegany also got a significant boost from  Khiante Bible, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 112 yards.
 He was just one part of a punishing run game: Allegany was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 455  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 167  rushing yards in eight consecutive  games  dating back to last season.
 Allegany wouldn't let Mountain Ridge keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Allegany can thank  Jackson Resh and  Bible for forcing both of them. The dominant performance also gave  Resh a new career-high in  rushing yards.
 Meanwhile, the third road  match was the charm for Albert Gallatin, as they earned their first road win of the season. They enjoyed a cozy  36-21 victory over Uniontown on Friday.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Albert Gallatin to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Adam Pegg, who rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. Another player making a difference was  Caleb DeHaven, who rushed for 96 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
 Allegany's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Albert Gallatin, they now  have a winning record of 3-2.
 Thursday's   matchup might be decided in the on the ground. Allegany has been unstoppable on the ground this season,  having  averaged 312  rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Albert Gallatin struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 314.4. It's looking like  Thursday's  contest might have some serious battles in the trenches.
