If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Mediapolis. On Friday they take on Columbus at 7:00 PM. Mediapolis are cruising in on a five-game winning streak while Columbus are stumbling in off of five consecutive losses.
Mediapolis took their match against Wapello last Friday by a conclusive 34-7 score. Followers of Mediapolis probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected three blowout victories.
Meanwhile, the match between Columbus and Van Buren was not a total blowout, but with Columbus falling 6-24, it was darn close.
Mediapolis's victory lifted them to 5-0 while Columbus's defeat dropped them down to 0-5. We'll find out if Mediapolis can add another positive mark to their record or if Columbus can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Mediapolis's step.
