The Chamberlain Storm will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Blake Yellow Jackets at 7:30 p.m. Chamberlain comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
Chamberlain fell victim to King's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They lost to the Lions on the road by a decisive 15-0 margin.
Meanwhile, Blake unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They suffered a rough 38-17 loss at the hands of Tampa Catholic.
Deshawn Neal put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. Neal was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 52 yards.
Chamberlain's defeat was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 7-1 Durant and 10-2 East Bay (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 60.1% over those games). As for Blake, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.
Chamberlain came up short against Blake when the teams last played back in October of 2022, falling 21-8. Will Chamberlain have more luck at home instead of on the road?
