Council came into Wednesday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Greenleaf Friends Academy Grizzlies with a sharp 3-0 victory on Wednesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Council took every set by at least 16 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-4, 25-8.

Council's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Greenleaf Friends Academy, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

After both having extra time off, Council and Salmon River will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Greenleaf Friends Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Tri-Valley on the 18th.
