The Woods Cross Wildcats won against the Roy Royals  last Wednesday with 54  points and they decided to stick to that  point total again  on Friday. Woods Cross slipped by Roy  54-53. Woods Cross didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this  win makes it their second in a row.
 Woods Cross' win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Ben Smith-mecham, who  scored 16 points. It was the first time this season that  Smith-mecham  scored 15 or more points.  Bryson Watson was another key contributor,  scoring 12 points along with eight  rebounds and two  steals.
 Several Royals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Dahlen Pontius, who  almost  dropped  a double-double on nine points and ten  rebounds. Another player making a difference was  Colby Frokjer, who  scored 18 points along with five  rebounds.
 Woods Cross is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 6-15 record  this season. As for Roy, they now  have a losing record at 10-11.
 Woods Cross will head out on the road to  face off against  Northridge at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. One thing working in Northridge's favor is that they have posted big  point totals  in their last nine matchups. As for Roy, they will look to defend their home court  on Wednesday against Bountiful at 7:00  p.m. Bountiful will roll in looking for their  seventh straight  victory, something Roy surely won't give up without a fight.
