Softball Recap: Bunkie Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bunkie walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Dunham Tigers on Wednesday as they made off with a 21-5 victory. Considering the Panthers have won 16 matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Bunkie is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-13 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Dunham, their loss dropped their record down to 13-5.

Coming up, Bunkie is taking a road trip to challenge Calvary Baptist Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cavaliers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. Dunham does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
