Lighthouse Christian Academy can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They blew past Seven Oaks Classical 55-29. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Lighthouse Christian Academy considering their 23-point performance the game before.
It was another big night for Abagail Rousey, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Victoria Mann, who scored nine points along with 12 rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Evansville Christian came up short against Jasper last Thursday and fell 42-30. While losing is never fun, Evansville Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 208th, while Jasper is ranked 63rd).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Sammi Holzmeyer, who scored four points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Hall, who scored three points along with two steals and two blocks.
Lighthouse Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Evansville Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-8.
Friday's game is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Lighthouse Christian Academy have been dynamite from deep this season, having only made 36.9% of their threes per game. It's a different story for Evansville Christian, though, as they've only made 34.5% of their threes per game this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Lighthouse Christian Academy was taken down by Evansville Christian 63-22 in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can Lighthouse Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
