Rockville scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 70-59 to the Magruder Colonels. The loss continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Colonels: they've now lost five in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Magruder to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jonah Wertlieb, who went 5 of 8 en route to 21 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Wil Dabbondanza, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 20 points.

Rockville's record is now 0-5. As for Magruder, they moved to 2-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rockville will take on Seneca Valley in a tournament on Thursday. As for Magruder, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Gaithersburg at 7:15 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
