Football Recap: Julian Silva Key Part of Team Effort in Aztecs Win + How To Watch

With a playoff win on the line, Mendota rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 21-14 victory over the Lindsay Cardinals.

Mendota's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Julian Silva, who picked up 84 receiving yards and two scores, and also threw for 14 yards and one TD. Those 84 receiving yards gave Silva a new career-high. Mendota also got a significant boost from Anthony Trinidad, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 102 yards.

Mendota now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Lindsay, they moved to 5-6 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Coming up, Mendota will face off against Minarets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Aztecs surely won't give up without a fight. Lindsay does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
