The South Wake Sabres are on the road again on Tuesday and plays the New Life Christian Academy Monarchs at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. One thing working in South Wake's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 12 matchups.
South Wake put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Southeastern HomeSchool 75-44 on the road. South Wake pushed the score to 65-28 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cardinals cut but never quite recovered from.
It was another big night for Jacob Webb, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last three games he's played. Avery Lubenco was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Meanwhile, New Life Christian Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They received a tough blow as they fell 75-57 to Word of God Christian Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite their loss, New Life Christian Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kaleb James, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and two steals, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Marquez Rochelle, who scored 13 points.
South Wake's win bumped their record up to 17-9. As for New Life Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-13 record this season.
