The Richmond Christian Warriors will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Fuqua Falcons at 6:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Richmond Christian's favor as the squad sits on 15 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Fuqua has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
Richmond Christian stacked a 12th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They breezed by Grove Christian School at home to the tune of 58-13. 58 seems to be a good number for Richmond Christian as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Richmond Christian relied on the efforts of Morgan Trimble, who scored 16 points along with eight steals and five assists, and Kailah Carter, who scored 34 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Carter has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jillian Gravatt, who scored two points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 56-15, which was the final score in Fuqua's tilt against Brunswick Academy on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Fuqua has scored all season.
Richmond Christian's win bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Fuqua, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.
Everything came up roses for Richmond Christian against Fuqua in their previous matchup back in January as the team secured a 62-33 win. Does Richmond Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fuqua turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
