The Kimball Jaguars will square off against the St. Mary's Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Kimball is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
On Thursday, Kimball got the win against West by a conclusive 12-2. The Jaguars haven't had any issues with the Wolfpack recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Alexa Contreras made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. Contreras was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, Kimball got a big performance out of Karaliya DePerio, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those three RBI gave DePerio a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Madisyn Zamora, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Kimball was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Tracy hit St. Mary's with a four-run first inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rams came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 11-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost seven in a row.
St. Mary's saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maya Garcia, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
St. Mary's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Kimball, their win bumped their record up to 16-9.
St. Mary's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Kimball has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9 hits per game. It's a different story for St. Mary's, though, as they've been averaging 10.3 hits. Given Kimball's sizable advantage in that area, the Rams will need to find a way to close that gap.
