The Granby Memorial Bears will head out on the road to face off against the Bolton Bulldogs at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Granby Memorial and 17 for Bolton.
On Wednesday, Granby Memorial was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 55-50 to East Windsor.
Meanwhile, Bolton was beaten by Stafford 58-27 on Monday.
Bolton's loss came about despite a quality game from Gavin LaPlante, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds.
Bolton struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They are winless (0-4) when they just don't pass the ball.
Granby Memorial has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Bolton, they dropped their record down to 1-17 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road.
Granby Memorial lost to Bolton on the road by a decisive 52-38 margin in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can Granby Memorial avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
