The Native American Community Academy Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight defeat. They took a 46-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Legacy Academy. Native American Community Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Legacy Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Makeda Casiquito, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. Casiquito is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Natasha Lucero, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.
Legacy Academy found their leader in underclassman Briley Boll, who scored six points along with 20 rebounds.

Native American Community Academy will be playing at home against Menaul at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Menaul will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Native American Community Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Legacy Academy, they will head out on the road to take on New Mexico School for the Deaf at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. New Mexico School for the Deaf's defense has only allowed 28.3 points per game this season, so Legacy Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
