The Winter Park Wildcats put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They blew past Colonial 62-6 at home. The result was nothing new for Winter Park, who have now won four matches by 20 points or more so far this season.
Winter Park's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grant Conner, who threw for 53 yards and two touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Williams, who threw for 109 yards and two touchdowns on only seven passes.
Winter Park's win was their tenth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 7-0. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33 points. As for Colonial, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Winter Park will head out on the road to face off against Timber Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Timber Creek will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 244th, while Winter Park is ranked 54th). As for Colonial, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against University at 7:00 p.m. University comes in on a streak of failing to score more than six points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
