The biggest upset of the week belonged to York Catholic, who took down 392nd ranked York Catholic, 36-33.
Bermudian Springs extended the longest winning streak in York-Adams III this week by beating Hanover, 35-0. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
Zach Stroup was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 200 yards on 14 carries as Bermudian Springs topped the Nighthawks. Tristan Sponseller also contributed to the rushing game with 142 yards on the ground.
Markle was the best wideout in the league this week as Jon DeFoe's team bested Hanover. Markle tallied three receptions for 46 yards. Sponseller helped Bermudian Springs' passing attack out by catching one ball for 13 yards.
Dustin Crouse put up the best numbers through the air as Littlestown topped York Suburban. He finished with a total of six completions for 121 yards and two touchdowns. Crouse's favorite target this week was Ryan Rickell, who caught two passes for 40 yards.
The Fighting Irish's James Dougherty and Aaron O'Brien have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading York-Adams III in both passing and receiving yards. Dougherty has thrown for 1918 yards this season, while O'Brien, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 22 catches for 505 yards. Calvin Savary from York County Tech leads the league in rushing with 1047 yards.
Entering into this week's contest against the Spartans, Dougherty is short just 82 passing yards to break 2,000 on the season.
Stroup of the the Eagles is only 81 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Stroup has rushed for 919 yards on 119 carries so far this year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Littlestown takes on Bermudian Springs. Mike Lippy's team is in third place, while the Eagles are in first place.
There should be lots of points scored when the Thunderbolts and Bermudian Springs face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Littlestown comes in having scored 264 this season, while the Eagles have scored 271. The Thunderbolts scored 48 points last week as they defeated the Trojans.
