The Memorial Mustangs will face off against the Jersey Village Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Memorial's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
Memorial's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Northbrook as Memorial made off with a 13-0 win. Considering the Mustangs have won eight matchups by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Elise Adams was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and two doubles.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brooke Kearns, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Addie Beckcom, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Memorial was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .400 or higher in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Jersey Village, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over Cypress Ridge on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Falcons have posted since March 5, 2024.
Camdyn Brown and Jordyn Battise did most of the damage at the plate: Brown scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Battise scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Ja'Niya Whiting, who scored a run and stole a base.
Memorial is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.6 runs. Jersey Village's victory bumped their record up to 6-12.
Friday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Memorial hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .388. However, it's not like Jersey Village struggles in that department as they've averaged .342. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Memorial took their win against Jersey Village in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 19-0. Will Memorial repeat their success, or does Jersey Village have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
