Freeport won against Rockford Auburn on Wednesday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Pretzels beat the Knights by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Pretzels, who have now won 17 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Freeport pushed their record up to 19-6 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Rockford Auburn, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Freeport will face off against Marengo at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Indians' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Pretzels' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Rockford Auburn, they will take on Harlem at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Knights will need to watch out since the Huskies have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
