Defeat or not, Nederland got some senior leadership from Rick Fortunato and Gavin Dillon. Fortunato scored ten points, while Dillon. scored seven points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Union Colony Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Josiah Rodriguez, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Sarchet, who scored seven points along with five steals.
Nederland's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Union Colony Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 3-8 record this season.
Nederland will head out on the road to face off against Poudre Community Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Poudre Community Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests. As for Union Colony Prep, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Bishop Machebeuf at 6:30 p.m. Bishop Machebeuf is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games.
