The team also got some help courtesy of  Allie Bruner, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 Marianna's win was  their fifth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 9-4. Those good results were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.2 runs per game. As for Providence Christian,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 5-7.
 Marianna will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Jonathan Alder at 4:00  p.m. Marianna's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9  runs per game  this season, so Jonathan Alder's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Providence Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wicksburg at 6:00  p.m.  on April 9th.
