Archbishop Hoban had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.8 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They came within four  points of losing the streak, but they secured  a   24-20 W against the St. Edward Eagles.  Despite the loss, St. Edward still got an impressive performance from   Brandon White, who picked up 117 receiving yards and one  touchdown, and also rushed for 53 yards. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 78 yards.  Zach Hackleman got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.
Archbishop Hoban's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for St. Edward,  with the  loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-2.
