Meadowcreek is on a ten-game streak of home losses (dating back to last season), the Titans an eight-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Meadowcreek Mustangs will take on the Discovery Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Meadowcreek pushed their score all the way to 59 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 69-59 to Berkmar. While losing is never fun, Meadowcreek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 285th, while the Patriots are ranked 25th).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Adonai Mussie, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Damari Wright, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Discovery also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to the Blue Devils by a score of 63-51.
Meadowcreek's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Discovery, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-19.
Meadowcreek beat the Titans 63-51 in their previous meeting back in January. Will Meadowcreek repeat their success, or do the Titans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
