Baseball Game Preview: Boylan Catholic Titans vs. Belvidere Bucs

For the second straight game, Boylan Catholic will face off against Belvidere. The Titans will be playing at home against the Bucs at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Boylan Catholic is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 21-4 margin over Belvidere on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Titans considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Reid Diamond looked comfortable as he tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

At the plate, Noah McDermott was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Ryder McCauley was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Boylan Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .690. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.
