Jaxon Simms Delivers Best  Effort of Season
 On Thursday, C. Milton Wright got the W thanks in part to  Jaxon Simms playing the best football he has all season. Simms rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, good enough to  set a new career-high in  rushing yards in the process. He is becoming a predictor of C. Milton Wright's success: when he posts  at  least two  rushing touchdowns the team is 2-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).
 The  victory was  the third in a row for C. Milton Wright, bringing their record for this year to 3-3. Simms will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant  effort when he faces off against Joppatowne on Friday.

A Season-Best  Effort from  Karon Evans Leads Harford Tech over Rising Sun
 On Friday, Harford Tech got the W thanks in part to  Karon Evans playing the best football he has all season. Evans picked up 150 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
 If the past is any indication,  Evans could be in store for another big game when he takes on Perry Hall on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time  Evans saw the Gators), he picked up 135 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Stephen Kelley Ii Dazzles in Harford Tech Win
 Keeping Evans company is  Stephen Kelley Ii, a fellow Harford Tech player. He threw for 305 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 13.3 yards per attempt.
 Kelley Ii might have his next game, a road matchup with Perry Hall, circled on his calendar. When  Kelley Ii last faced the Gators  back in October of 2023, he threw for 376 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.1 yards per attempt.

 Rounding off our Top Five is  Evan Freeney of Bel Air. Freeney made 17 total tackles (1.0 for loss).
 With the  victory, Bel Air broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-3. Freeney and Bel Air will square off against Elkton at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
