The Central Red Devils had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They had just enough and edged Thompson out 21-19. Central's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tristan Williams, who rushed for 125 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Coleman, who picked up 143 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Despite the defeat, Thompson had strong showings from Colben Landrew, who picked up 58 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and Trent Seaborn, who threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns.
Central's win bumped their record up to 13-0. As for Thompson, their loss dropped their record down to 11-2.
Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Thompson also has no future games currently scheduled.
