She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Kamryn Chase was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.
The home team had won the previous five meetings between Hampden and Camden Hills, and Hampden kept the tradition alive. The Broncos' pitcher stepped up to hand the Windjammers a 10-0 shutout on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Broncos, who have now won four games by six runs or more so far this season.
Not much got past Cat Facchini, who gave up just two hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Camden Hills off the board.
On the hitting side, Aubrey Shaw was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Coon, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Hampden's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Mt. Ararat, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
Hampden's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Mt. Ararat hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .358. It's a different story for Hampden, though, as they've only averaged .237. Will they be able to contain Mt. Ararat's hitters?
Mt. Ararat suffered a grim 16-1 defeat to Hampden in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
