Chatham Central got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brennen Oldham out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 boards. The game was Oldham's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Reid Albright was another key player, dropping a triple-double on 15 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists.
Chatham Central smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, South Davidson played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Thomasville, falling 78-26. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-14.
South Davidson's loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Chatham Central, they pushed their record up to 16-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Everything came up roses for Chatham Central against South Davidson in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the team secured an 81-36 win. In that game, Chatham Central amassed a halftime lead of 41-17, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Wednesday.
