Perhaps unsurprisinly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Mitchell Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Aiden Lieber and Luke Mentele. Lieber dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds, while Mentele scored nine points. That was a full 38.2% of Mitchell Christian's points, marking the 16th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The win got James Valley Christian back to even at 8-8. As for Mitchell Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. James Valley Christian will challenge Arlington at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Arlington is coming into the match with five straight wins at home, meaning James Valley Christian will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. As for Mitchell Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Colman-Egan at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
