Having just played yesterday, the Pioneer Pioneers will jump right back in to play the Ludington Orioles at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
On Thursday, Pioneer came up short against Ferndale and fell 47-39. While losing is never fun, Pioneer can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 350th, while Ferndale is ranked 96th).
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Ludington's good fortune finally ran out last Monday. They fell to Mason County Central 38-32.
This is the second loss in a row for Pioneer and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for Ludington, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
