Last Friday, Marian Catholic was the victim of a tough 50-28 loss at the hands of Saint Ignatius College Prep. Marian Catholic has struggled against Saint Ignatius College Prep recently, as their matchup on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite their loss, Marian Catholic saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Tyler Lofton, who rushed for 135 yards and a touchdown, was perhaps the best of all. Lofton is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played.
Meanwhile, Nazareth Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They slipped by Brother Rice 31-30.
