Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Strom Thurmond's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were beaten by Silver Bluff 57-25. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Strom Thurmond in their matchups with Silver Bluff: they've now lost five in a row.
Fox Creek's win bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Strom Thurmond, their loss dropped their record down to 14-11.
Fox Creek was dealt a bruising 60-19 defeat at the hands of Strom Thurmond when the teams last played back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Strom Thurmond's Katlyn Chinn, who scored 18 points along with seven steals.
