After a string of three wins, the Saugus Centurions's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They received a tough blow as they fell 76-60 to South Pasadena. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
South Pasadena got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Miles Nowe out in front who scored 14 points along with six assists and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Madison, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
Saugus' loss dropped their record down to 15-7. As for South Pasadena, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Saugus will take on Valencia at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Valencia will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 269th, while Saugus is ranked 86th). As for South Pasadena, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Blair at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
