Baseball Recap: Lawrence Academy Wins Going Away Against Ridgecroft

Lawrence Academy won the last time they faced Ridgecroft and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Warriors blew past the Rams 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won six matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Hunter Eason made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Winston Warren, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs. Another player making a difference was Ayden Foster, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Lawrence Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ridgecroft only managed two hits.

Lawrence Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Ridgecroft, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-6.

Lawrence Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ridgecroft, they will head out on the road to face off against Northeast Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rams are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
