The Master's Academy Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully The Master's Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, The Master's Academy came up short against Lake Lure Classical Academy and fell 53-42.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Aiden Holiday, who scored 16 points along with two steals. Ben Davis was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy has not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They came out on top against Challenger by a score of 55-46 on Monday.
The Master's Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-7.
The Master's Academy couldn't quite finish off Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in November of 2023 and fell 39-36. Can The Master's Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
