The Midlothian Panthers will head out to face off against the Ennis Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Midlothian is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.
Midlothian is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Kaufman on Thursday as they made off with a 16-0 win. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Panthers with their most commanding win of the season.
Mattie Hanks looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Aubrey Robledo, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February. Chloe Cron also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Midlothian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .714. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Ennis had just enough and edged out Crandall 7-6 on Thursday. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Breona Benavidez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and five unearned) runs on six hits and racked up six Ks.
At the plate, Kylie Saxon was incredible, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Serennia Terrell, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Midlothian's record now sits at 11-8-2. As for Ennis, their record is now 13-9.
Everything went Midlothian's way against Ennis in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Midlothian made off with a 13-5 win. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
