The Mart Panthers put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 72-6 victory over Hubbard. Given Mart's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 241st, while Hubbard is ranked 1184th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
JD Bell continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 123 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. Bell was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards. Richard Green got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Mart's win was their 13th straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 10-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 48.0 points per game. As for Hubbard, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Mart is on the road again on Thursday and play against Cumby at 7:00 p.m. on November 9th. Cumby is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Hubbard does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
