Freeport is a perfect 10-0 against Jefferson since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Pretzels will welcome the J-Hawks at 4:30 p.m. Freeport will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

Freeport is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Boylan Catholic on Wednesday as they made off with a 15-5 win. The victory continues a trend for the Pretzels in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won seven in a row.

Mackenzee Matz made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Matz was even better at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. She also put up a home run, which was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Hannah Stott and Grace Muench did most of the damage at the plate: Stott scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances, while Muench scored three runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Quinn Krzeminiski, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Freeport always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. The last time their OBP was this high was back in May of 2024.

Meanwhile, Jefferson came up short against Guilford on Wednesday and fell 4-1. The defeat continues a trend for the J-Hawks in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost six in a row.

Freeport's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Jefferson, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

Everything went Freeport's way against Jefferson in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Freeport made off with a 17-7 victory. Will the Pretzels repeat their success, or do the J-Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
