Mt. Carmel waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Sage Creek Bobcats. Six seems to be a good number for the Sundevils as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Mt. Carmel got a great performance from Keira Lathram as she pitched six innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits.
On the hitting side, Naya Leuck was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaili Martha, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.
Mt. Carmel's record is now 9-4-1. As for Sage Creek, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.
