San Pasqual Academy's Davonte Ransom rumbled for the longest rushing play in Sunset (8 Man) this season in his game against Calvary Christian last week. Ransom ran for 80 yards on the play and finished with 144 on the day as his team topped the Lions.
St. Joseph Academy was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from third to first in the league.
Calvary Christian's ANDREW LEAKEY and JORDAN EVANS led the league in both passing and receiving yards. LEAKEY has thrown for 665 yards this season, while EVANS has 16 catches for 274 yards. Tim Clow from the Crusaders leads the league in rushing with 654 yards.
Two of the top teams in Sunset (8 Man) will go toe-to-toe this week when San Pasqual Academy takes on Ocean View Christian. Rashiid Burgo's team's offense has scored 208 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Patriots have allowed only 143 on the year.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Warner takes on St. Joseph Academy. As it stands, the Wildcats are in fifth, while Tom Davis' team is in first.
The Dragons took down G Garrett's team 70-16 last week, the largest margin of any game. Brandon Alexander ran for 166 yards in the win.
