Make it 12 blowout wins for the Riverview Sarasota Rams this season. They blew past IMG Academy Blue 73-53. Given Riverview Sarasota's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while IMG Academy Blue is ranked 262nd), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Riverview Sarasota was led to victory by Kyrsten Montas and Ava Sims. Montas scored ten points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Sims scored 17 points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Noto, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Riverview Sarasota's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for IMG Academy Blue, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverview Sarasota will face off against Barron Collier at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for IMG Academy Blue, they will head out on the road to challenge Lake Minneola at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
