Baseball Recap: Tocoi Creek Has No Trouble Against Menendez

Tocoi Creek won the last time they faced Menendez and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Tocoi Creek Toros blew past the Menendez Falcons 8-1. Considering the Toros have won five contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Bryson Williams tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over 5.1 innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Mikey Bergamo was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-4. Bergamo is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Micha Hernandez also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Tocoi Creek's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Menendez, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-6.

Coincidentally, Tocoi Creek and Menendez will both be playing Nease the next time they take the field. Menendez will head out to face Nease at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Tocoi Creek will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
