It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Meeker Cowboys had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They walked away with a 20-7 victory over Highland. The win was just what Meeker needed coming off of a 41-6 defeat in their prior contest.
Meeker can attribute much of their success to Clay Crawford, who rushed for 129 yards and two touchdowns.
Meeker's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Highland, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
Meeker will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Buena Vista at 1:00 p.m. Highland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
