Even though the Vista del Lago Eagles scored an imposing 71 points on Saturday, the Antelope Titans still came out on top. Antelope took their matchup against Vista del Lago 78-71. For Antelope, this counts as revenge for the 68-55 loss Vista del Lago walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2018.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Antelope to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aj Cook, who went 7 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points and 0 assists. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for him. Logan Melton was another key contributor, scoring 20 points.
The win got Antelope back to even at 5-5. As for Vista del Lago, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
Antelope will head out on the road to face off against Del Oro at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Vista del Lago and Liberty Ranch will face off at 3:00 p.m. on December 20th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Liberty Ranch is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
