The Summit Academy Eagles had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against Inwood Academy by a score of 41-34 on Friday.
Summit Academy can attribute much of their success to Chloe Freeman, who scored 22 points along with 6 rebounds and 6 steals. Another player making a difference was Sariah Gammon, who scored 7 points.
Summit Academy's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Inwood Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Summit Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against All City Leadership Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Inwood Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
