Heirway Christian Academy is 1-9 against the since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Thursday, Heirway Christian Academy had to suffer through a rough 97-55 loss at the hands of the Titans. Heirway Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-27.
Meanwhile, Arlington Christian had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.2 points), and they went ahead and made it ten on Saturday. They walked away with a 77-66 win over New Creation Christian Academy.
Arlington Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Shamar Madden, who scored 20 points along with four steals. Madden hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Rico Williams, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Heirway Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Arlington Christian, they pushed their record up to 12-6 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Heirway Christian Academy might still be hurting after the 74-52 defeat they got from the in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Heirway Christian Academy was down 47-21.
